ABOUT THE EXPERIENCE
We are proud to present an unique opportunity to witness the work of the highly skilled bladesmith Shigetoshi Sato through our knife-making experience. You’ll be invited to Master Sato’s workroom where he produces traditional Japanese knives by using the same ancestral methodologies he uses to forge the world-famous katana swords.
During the experience, you’ll be able to follow the katana and knife-making process closely and learn a lot about the traditional Japanese craft. The quality of the knives by Master Sato is incredibly high, being some of the best pieces of traditional craft you can find in all of Japan. To get first-hand experience, you will be guided through some of the techniques of knife-making as well.
